Paint polishing
Paint goes flat with time. Wash marks, holograms from someone else polishing, a dull top layer that turns the colour grey. Polishing takes that off and gives the paint its depth back.
How deep we go depends on the state of the paint. That is why polishing at LX comes at two levels, and we look at the car before the work and tell you which one it needs.
The final price depends on the size and condition of the car and on the extras you choose.

Which one to choose
If the car is new or well kept and the only problem is that the colour no longer shines, one step is enough. If there are scratches you can feel with a fingernail, or if a ceramic coating comes after the polish, then it has to be multi-stage.
A coating locks in what is under it, so what is under it has to be sorted first.

Common questions
What will polishing cost for my car?
One-step polishing from 300 €, multi-stage from 600 €. The final price depends on the size of the car, the state of the paint and the extras you choose. We give the exact sum once we see the car.
How does one-step polishing differ from multi-stage?
One-step polishing is a single pass that takes out holograms and fine scratches. Multi-stage is two or three passes and reaches deeper damage. Time in the calendar: ~1 day for one step, ~2 days for multi-stage.
Does a ceramic coating need polishing first?
If there are scratches in the paint, yes. A coating does not take them out, it locks in the surface under it. Polishing is priced separately from the coating.
Is there a guarantee?
The guarantee period is different for each job, and we always agree it with you before the work starts.
Can I leave the car overnight?
You can. The car stays with us until the work is done. Multi-stage polishing takes ~2 days, so cars often stay overnight.
